Grateful for an opportunity for some rest, we slept in til about 11am at Landyn and JJ's. Since they both had to work, we drove around Cincinnati for a bit. Cincinnati is supposed to have the best chili so we set out to find a good chili place for lunch. We found this place called Price Hill Chili, which seemed to have a lot of locals in it, and it turned out to be a great find. After lunch, we went to a Cincinnati staple: Graeter's Ice Cream. Cara had a vanilla milkshake and I had a cone with black cherry ice cream and both lived up to the great things we'd heard about Graeter's.
Later on, we hung out with Landyn and Jenn after they got off of work and eventually went to dinner at a place called Teak Thai that they had been meaning to try out and it was delicious.
Unfortunately, we forgot to take photos (besides the food ones above) while we were in Cincinnati, so we have none to post here.
The next morning (July 7th), we woke up early and headed towards Wisconsin.
For lunch, we stopped in Gary, Indiana at a place called Rico's Pizza. It was a very sketchy neighborhood and the place was empty except for us, but the pizza was pretty good. A few hours later, we stopped off in Milwaukee to get a coffee with Matt Jegel, who was up there for a job interview.
After coffee with Matt, we made the rest of the trek up to De Pere, which is close to Green Bay. We spent some time hanging out with Cara's family and had dinner at her grandma's house.
It was great spending time with Cara's family that she hadn't seen in a while. The next morning, we woke up at 6 am to head to Chicago for the Dave Matthews Band Caravan. Our next blog post will be about our weekend in Chi-town.
